Annual Dog License Fees

All residents in the City of Covington are required to have their dogs licensed annually. The licenses are due July 1st.  Fees for those dogs that are not considered "vicious" are as follows:

$5.00 per year for dogs that have been spayed or neutered. Owner must show proof of procedure.
$10.00 per year for dogs not spayed or neutered. 

All owners must also show proof of current rabies shots.

For those dogs considered vicious, the fees are as follows:

$30.00 per year. These dogs must also be spayed or neutered, have a microchip installed, have current rabies shots, and the owners must carry insurance on the dog.

Licenses may be purchased at Covington Department of Public Improvements, 4399 Boron Drive, Covington, KY 41015.
