Fire Department
The City of Covington's Fire Department was recently rated the best in Northern Kentucky from ISO with a Class II fire insurance rating. Covington shares this rating with only 12 other fire departments in the Commonwealth.
The Department is made-up of 117 firefighters, five firehouses, and has a variety of vehicles, including five pumpers, that protect the City from fire. Other equipment includes 2 aerial trucks; one heavy rescue; three ambulances; and one command vehicle.
