          Mayor Denny Bowman                                                  

Mayor Denny Bowman was first elected City Commissioner in November 1983 and was re-elected in November 1985. The Commission selected Commissioner Bowman to serve as Vice Mayor in 1985. Denny was elected Mayor in November 1987 and served three consecutive four year terms. Denny was appointed the Recreation Director in March of 2000 and served in that capacity until January of 2008. He was elected to his fourth term as Mayor in November 2008. Mayor Bowman and his wife Connie have two children and two grandchildren. They live in Covington's Peaselburg neighborhood.
